What it costs
There are no fees or charges when you donate to a project through AngelShares.
We charge a 5% service charge on each AngelShares donation (including Gift Aid) that has been made through our site, which is borne by the arts or cultural organisation, or individual artist. In time, when we have proved the impact we are making and the value of the service we provide, we will charge an additional small monthly or annual amount to showcase projects, in the same way that other fundraising sites currently do.
These fees help cover things like transaction fees with our partner Google Checkout; promoting the projects and the site to donors through social media and other marketing; and investing in new ways to make AngelShares work better for the arts organisations you and we want to support.
This investment is why we are the only arts crowd-funding site that enables registered charities to reclaim Gift Aid on donations, which adds an extra 25% to eligible gifts. And why we’ll keep investing in new online fundraising tools to help you raise more money for arts and culture.
